Deconstructing Complexity. Engineering Flow.
“Between 2004 and 2014, I didn’t switch careers; I expanded a single philosophy. My background in engineering and my journey with Total Immersion (TI) are built on the same foundation: Prioritizing consistency over intensity. Whether I was optimizing a high-volume production line or a swim stroke, the goal was identical: eliminating waste to find the path of least resistance.”

The Catalyst: The Terry Laughlin Moment
The defining moment of my career wasn’t a certification; it was a conversation. In 2015, I shared a deep-dive analysis with Terry Laughlin on ‘hull speed’ and ‘bow wave’ mechanics in the human body. Terry’s reaction didn’t just validate my technical approach; it solidified my mission to treat Total Immersion not just as a swim technique, but as a universal engineering philosophy.
“This is the level of quality we want to see in our coaches. Other coaches should learn from you.”
The Personal Laboratory: Proving the Method
To prove efficiency is a universal law, I used my own body as a laboratory. Competing against professional lumberjacks in Stihl Timbersports or pushing through an Ironman 70.3, I wasn’t just chasing medals. I was testing engineering precision under extreme stress. If it works in a millimetric axe swing, it works in your swim stroke.

Endurance Strategy
Ironman 70.3: Engineered a 5:30 finish on a first attempt by performing my own bike fitting and applying technical pacing models.

Collaboration Architecture
Dragon Boat: Training corporate teams with zero experience using rhythmic efficiency. Transforming desk teams into high-performance units.

Precision Engineering
Timbersports: Competing in a strength-dominated sport through movement deconstruction. Ranking in Turkey’s Top 8 via technical precision.

The High-EQ Troubleshooter
Today, I troubleshoot performance across all levels. A decade-long coaching journey allows me to decode the psychological barriers holding you back—from the first splash to the final mile. While my engineering brain identifies the biomechanical gaps, I solve the human puzzle and the technical one simultaneously.
Beyond the Water: A Multi-Disciplinary Vision
My engineering background and mastery of biomechanics are no longer confined to the water. Today, RunToSwim is evolving into a holistic outdoor performance platform. Whether it is navigating the 85km Aqua Lycia Trail expedition, guiding technical trail runs on rugged terrains, or leading cycling tours through scenic vineyard routes, my mission remains the same: Solving the puzzle of human movement to achieve peak efficiency and elegance in nature. From the trail to the tide, we don’t just move; we flow.
Not Just a Coach. A Fellow Traveler.
Based in Urla, İzmir. I don’t just prescribe movements; I practice them. My obsession with efficiency extends from the water to the land—whether I’m engineering a channel crossing or moving naturally. My goal is to help you find the elusive “flow” state where effort disappears.
